The Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional dining experiences for our community. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will oversee your section, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards, using seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
* Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
* Assist with inventory management, stock ordering, and maintaining health and safety standards.
* Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring all dishes meet our exceptional culinary standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations and best practices.
What you bring:
* Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality dishes, preferably in a fine dining setting.
* In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures, with experience in preparing diverse cuisines.
* Ability to develop and present innovative and appealing dishes that cater to a variety of tastes and dietary requirements.
* Excellent team collaboration and communication skills, with experience in supervising and training junior staff.
* A meticulous approach to food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards, with a willingness to adapt to changing menus and dietary needs.
* A genuine enthusiasm for cooking and a commitment to providing high-quality dining experiences for our students, staff, and visitors.
