We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, caring individual to support our busy team. You will be responsible for providing gold standard care to our lovely clients as well as administrative support for all aspects of our client services.
About the Role
The main responsibilities are greeting our clients and their pets, handling busy telephone lines and arranging appointments, email correspondence, while providing a balance of empathy and professionalism. You will also be responsible for cashing up, taking payments, stock management, account and insurance queries and ensuring the cleanliness of the practice and re-stocking is of high standard.
You may need to assist the vet or nurse in some animal handling during consultation at our branches, but this is not a clinical role. Your job is important to the whole team, and your organisational skills are valued and needed for supporting the nurses and vets.

What We’re Looking For
Previous veterinary receptionist experience is helpful but not essential. Previous customer service experience is essential; we require someone with a proven track record who is driven by the desire to deliver excellent customer service. The successful applicant should also possess general IT literacy in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Each day is different, often rewarding and occasionally challenging. The job is fast-paced, so the successful applicant will have an informed and compassionate outlook regarding feedback and self-awareness. Attention to detail is essential. All training is on the reception desk in practice. This role requires excellent communication and relationship skills, the ability to work under pressure, good computer skills, a basic understanding of sales transactions, with outstanding attention to detail and consistency.
Working Hours
18-19 hours a week on average on a 2-week rolling rota as below:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 2pm-7pm.
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 2pm-7pm.
Saturday rota: 1 in 4, 11:45am-2:30pm.
