Location: Blackburn, Shadsworth Road, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB1 2PR, UK. The role. The Sales, Inventory and Ops. Planning (SIOP) Manager will be responsible for planning and managing the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP), forecasting, supply planning, purchasing, vendor management and customer service. (Operations) managing the 3PL warehouse, responsible for P&L within the current contact, driving efficiency and quality of service, to provide analytical data analysis to the SLT combined with responsibility on E&O management. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, adept in Excel and ERP systems (specifically JDE). The ideal candidate will have a min. Bachelor degree (preferred – University), combined with min. of 4-5 years of experience in similar role, along with prior team management experience. The role also requires a level of flexibility to take responsibility of operational needs that are business critical, within scope. Candidates, located in London area will be preferred (frequent visits to KES office in Chertsey near London are a part of the job), however all interesting applications will be considered. Key responsibilities: Leads in the development of strategies for materials planning and SIOP. Actively work with Sales, Marketing and Finance teams in the regions to accurately forecast sales revenue and units by product family, item and market. This will be used to drive supply planning, production and financial planning. Spearheads the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery. Leads in the development of indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand. Analyzes identified demand streams and leads in the establishment of data relationship linkages. Collaborates with product development leaders and sales and marketing team leaders to develop demand forecasts. Leads in the planning of capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations. Facilitates with manufacturing team leaders and leads in the development of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders and the defined capacity parameters. Analyzes and leads in the development of new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability and reliability. Spearheads tracking of appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement. Leads in the development of processes and plans to improve supply capabilities. Guides in establishing clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP. Minimum requirements: BA/BS (or higher), preferably in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a related supply chain planning field. APICS certification preferred. Broad Supply Chain experience from consumer goods industry (experience from retail or construction industry is a strong advantage). Candidates with relevant experience from other businesses will also be considered. Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within a work area. Broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization. Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, with a particular emphasis on IFS. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
