Personal Insurance Claims Handler

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for experienced Personal Injury Claims Handlers to manage a mixed portfolio of Official Injury Claims (OIC), Ministry of Justice (MOJ), and claims that are not in the portal.
Role: Personal Injury Claims Handler
Location: Surrey
Working hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
What you will be doing:
1. Proactive management approach to handle claims.
2. Maintaining strong diary management.
3. Ensuring your portfolio is realistically and accurately reserved in line with best practice and at the earliest opportunity, referring those highlighted as exceeding authority.
4. Understand when to utilise external suppliers to ensure the best outcome for the business with minimal claims spend.
5. Maintain own technical knowledge through training.
6. Directly reporting to the PI Claims Manager.
What we’re looking for:
1. Proven capability of claims handling for both Portal and Non-Portal claims.
2. Knowledge of credit hire preferable but not a requirement.
3. At least 1+ years’ experience in handling personal injury claims in the Motor Insurance Industry.
4. Strong, decisive, and confident communicator.
5. Self-motivated, able to prioritise and work independently.
6. Driven and enthusiastic - meets or exceeds targets.
7. Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
