We are looking for a software developer with a strong background and experience in .NET, C# and SQL. The successful candidate will be part of an Agile development team working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Applicants must have at least 2 years of commercial development experience using .NET and C#, coupled with a proven track record of delivering business applications in a fast-paced environment. The applicant must have determination and passion and be able to take ownership and deliver robust high-quality solutions.
The role will be focused on support/enhancement of existing business solutions as well as the development of new projects. With solid proven development capabilities, the applicant will have delivered complex projects, both alone and as part of a larger team, solving problems and consistently delivering on time and to quality.
The applicant will be familiar with working within a project management framework and be comfortable deriving requirements from agile methods. The applicant will be supported by experienced project management, marketers, development, and support resources with many years of experience within the estate agency business.
Experience Required:
* A firm grasp of reporting methodologies and in-depth experience with Microsoft SSIS and SSRS.
* Proven experience in working with large data sets, both from the perspective of data import/translation and segmenting these as required to provide data insight.
* Proven experience of delivering web-based solutions.
* Experience of working with commission schemes, reporting for statements and ad-hoc analysis.
* Hands-on experience creating and maintaining business-critical solutions.
* Skills in design patterns, message queuing, and technical documentation.
* Complete development lifecycle experience including design, development, and testing.
* Related degree.
* Ability to produce technical designs and specifications from functional requirements.
* Integrate with other systems using synchronous and asynchronous processes.
* Team player with exposure to Agile methods (design, estimation, delivery).
Responsibilities:
* Development of new services and applications according to business requirements.
* Support of existing business solutions.
* Support of integration processes (both internal and external systems).
* Provide timely functional releases to meet fast-changing business requirements.
* Analysis and authoring of ad-hoc SQL queries to support the business reporting department.
* Maintenance of business-critical data processing.
* Design, implementation, and presentation of tactical and strategic improvements.
* Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of customer journeys to support business objectives to increase market share.
* Assess risk and impact on the existing digital portfolio that may arise due to any requirement or functional change.

You will need excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills with an intuitive business-focused approach. Successful candidates will have a friendly personality, good communication skills, be highly motivated team players, and be able to learn and evaluate both existing and new cutting-edge technologies.
The ability to communicate technical concepts to helpdesk and internal customers at a suitable level as well as enthusiasm to discover and implement new technologies.
The ability to work well under pressure with a flexible approach to working hours whilst also having the ability to communicate with external support teams at a technical level.
