My well established client is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant / Paralegal to join its busy conveyancing team in a well-established law firm in their Romsey Office.
The Role and Responsibilities:
1. To provide administrative and secretarial support to your immediate Fee Earner.
2. To provide administrative and secretarial support to the Department and other Teams, covering holidays and sickness, as and when required.
3. General secretarial duties, such as emails, scanning of documents, typing letters, attendance notes, memos, etc.
4. To prepare correspondence and documents on the instruction of the Fee Earner.
5. Prepare correspondence and enclosures for emailing/posting ensuring accuracy at all times.
6. Ensure Client files are kept organised and filing is kept up to date at all times.
7. Ensure procedures, as set out in the Office Manual, are adhered to.
8. File opening, closing, storage and retrieval of documents from storage.
9. Photocopying and scanning.
10. Arrange appointments on behalf of the Fee Earner and Team (if required), and maintain up to date diary system.
11. Take detailed instructions from Clients and other Professionals in the Fee Earner’s absence.
12. Attend Clients and other Professionals in the office or on the telephone or by email in the Fee Earner’s absence and progress Client matters, as may be required.
13. Provide a friendly and efficient service to all Clients and other Professionals.
14. Keep desk and surrounding area tidy at all times.
15. Cover Reception, when required.
16. Any other duties that may be required.
