The position is for an experienced HGV Technician responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard.
Workshop Based
Location: Nottingham
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm Alternating (40-minute paid break daily). Alternate Saturday 6am to 12pm (paid at appropriate overtime rate).
Your Tasks
1. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard.
2. Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
3. Attend to disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customers' premises.
4. Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises.
5. Liaise with the parts department to attain parts.
6. Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
7. Ensure appropriate clocking is made; all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner.
8. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
9. Maintain thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses.

Ideal Qualifications/Experience
1. Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles.
2. ADR.
3. Current driving licence.
4. IRTEC inspection licence.

1. First 4hrs 1:2 at time.
2. Additional overtime at time + half.
3. Call out at approx. GBP 4200 per annum.
4. Shift allowance at approx. GBP 1800 per annum.
