We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated General Science Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive Science department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, helping students to develop a solid foundation in all areas of Science, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This begins March 2025.
Duties as a General Science Teacher:
* Encourage students to develop scientific enquiry, problem-solving, and analytical skills
* Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and promote active learning
* Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking
* Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
* Support students in preparing for assessments and examinations, including GCSEs
* Participate in extracurricular activities, including science clubs, trips, and STEM initiatives
Ideal General Science Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A degree in Science or a related subject
* Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum and exam specifications
* A passion for inspiring students and promoting a love of Science
* Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high expectations for all learners
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
