We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team of a well-respected SEMH independent school in East Cheshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate leader to help shape the future of our school and make a real difference in the lives of our students.
The Role:
As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in the leadership and management of the school, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and safeguarding. You will:
* Provide outstanding leadership and management across the school
* Support the school's strategies for continuous improvement
* Lead on daily operational teaching and learning across two sites
* Deliver exemplary teaching and learning with a small teaching timetable
* Oversee the curriculum and monitor student progress
* Implement tracking and assessment strategies
* Manage and support staff, contributing to their training and development
* Deputise for the Deputy Headteacher and Headteacher when required
* Maintain robust safeguarding measures and lead on safeguarding training
* Support staff with behaviour management strategies
* Build strong relationships with professional services and community groups
What We're Looking For:
* A passionate leader with a commitment to supporting students with SEMH/SEND needs
* A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with at least three years' experience in a SEND/SEMH environment
* A track record of outstanding teaching and leadership experience
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted and independent school standards
* Experience in managing a variety of behavioural needs
* A proactive and strategic mindset, with excellent communication skills
