Degree qualification or higher in a relevant field. Background in Mechanical and Electrical. Previous experience in Residential, Commercial, and/or mixed-use developments. Strong Health & Safety awareness. Time-served mechanical/electrical background. Ability to maximize efficiency, use time productively, and meet challenging goals. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Experience delivering projects with BIM, and proficiency in Word, Excel, etc. As a M&E Coordinator: Review M&E design information and conduct a comprehensive design gap analysis with the project team. Monitor and coordinate the flow of M&E design information to ensure timely release for construction activities. Manage the submission and approval process for all M&E technical equipment. Oversee the submission and approval of all M&E design information (drawings). Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, client, and company requirements, assisting with BCAR submissions. Ensure M&E designs are cost-effective, within budget, and meet contract deliverables. Ensure specialist mechanical, electrical, and sprinkler sub-contractors adhere strictly to the company Safety Management System. Ensure timely provision of all quality and statutory requirements by sub-contractors. Manage and maintain accurate minutes of subcontractor meetings. Assist project quantity surveyors with the review and preparation of subcontractor monthly and final accounts.
