The post holder will be required to act in an essential support capacity primarily within the consultant lead orthodontic service. Decontaminate impressions and appliances following contact with body fluids. Pour plaster models from dental impressions for treatment planning and appliance construction. Pour cleft palate study models for audit. Accurate trimming, finishing and marking of dental models to a high standard using high speed laboratory trimming machinery.
Responsible for recording all orthodontic work entering the laboratory onto the computerised records system. Check, complete and file work cards. Interpret dental terminology from card prescription. Manage and organise own workload.
Main duties of the job
