Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen in Cannock Villages Primary Care Network (PCN) to join our multi-disciplinary team. We are recruiting newly qualified general practitioners (GP) who are still within their first two years of completing their certificate of completion of training (CCT) We are a well- established PCN team who are passionate about developing and delivering excellent quality local services to meet the needs of our patients. Our 11 member practices work alongside our team of Clinical Pharmacists, FCPs, Paramedics, Care coordinators, Social Prescribing Link Workers, General Practice Assistants, Mental Health Practitioners and Dietician. Fixed Term 6 months with a view to change subject to national DES contracting. Main duties of the job The ideal candidate should be a newly qualified GP within the first two years of completing their certificate of completion of training (CCT), have full GMC registration and be included on the NHS England GP Performers List. We are looking for an autonomous general practitioner to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients within a primary care setting. They will undertake a variety of duties including face to face and telephone consultations, and will also be responsible for the supervision of other ARRS Clinical staff. There is scope for further development in terms of lead roles, specialty interests and support in progression. The successful candidate will work across a number of practices, allowing for full integration into the teams. As a newly or recently qualified GP, you will benefit from daily support from experienced GP colleagues The role involves both clinical and administrative work which are based on the EMIS clinical system, balancing direct patient care with involvement in broader initiatives. The post holder will be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care.
