This is a permanent, full time position.
The shift pattern for this position is 5 days over 7.
An exciting opportunity is now available within East Renfrewshire to become part of Primary care and Community Services. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Support Supervisor. The post holder will provide direct comprehensive, confidential, effective secretarial and administrative support to the Primary Care Improvement Plan (PCIP) multi-disciplinary teams across East Renfrewshire HSCP including support in the day to day line management of a number of staff and services. They will assist the multi-disciplinary teams in ensuring that the services provided are easily accessible, efficient, effective and patient friendly.
This role will involve supporting the PCIP Team Lead in achieving service objectives and as the first point of contact for the Primary Care Improvement Plan, this important role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate competence in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL or equivalent proficiency in all Microsoft packages. Hold a recognized qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or evidence of significant relevant equivalent practical experience.
Previous NHS experience in supervising staff or recognized management certificate conversant with office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role. Demonstrate knowledge of working in an office environment and operation of office equipment and systems. Evidenced through formal training or work experience.
There will be an on-going requirement to have a personal development plan agreed with the manager which will include participation in training and development.
As the post covers more than one base full driving licence car driver owner is desirable to this post.
