Job Description: Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for a Demonstration Lead to join a brand new department focussed on the development of Synthetics, Digital Products and Services. This will be business-changing capability across our Electronics UK Division and influence Leonardo UK. As the Demonstration Lead, the successful applicant will take a leadership position in this new department to create, iterate and increment in complexity synthetics-centric demonstrations to prove the maturing design and direction of intent across the Electronics Division in the UK and influence the designs of Synthetics across UK Divisions. The Synthetics Demonstration Lead will take advantage of their keen abilities to pull together demonstrations of varying levels of complexity and scale in short timescales to achieve a desired demonstration outcome. What you will do • Lead the definition and implementation of synthetics-centric demonstrations in line with maturing needs understanding and capability designs. • Work with stakeholders across the Electronics Division to understand the implications of design decisions as they mature into implementation for this systems capability area. • Work with other Digital Products and Services Systems Leads to develop this capability and prepare for future products as a team, reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer for this area. • Lead the development of relationships with internal teams that will need to assist with the implementation of successful demonstrations • Support the Synthetics Design Lead with building relationships with external providers and potential partners. • Conduct demonstrations in line with defined demonstration objectives and assess the outcomes against criteria developed with the team • Lead the delivery of demonstration reviews. What we are looking for Essential: Strong experience of delivering synthetics-centric demonstrations utilising hardware, software, infrastructure and facilities under time pressure. Strong understanding and experience of the tools, methodologies and processes in the synthetics domain. Strong experience of delivering in agile ways of working. Self-motivated with a strong aptitude for problem solving and decision-making within projects involving design complexity and uncertainty. Good experience of prototyping demonstrations to be matured iteratively. Good experience of managing conflicting priorities and stakeholder needs into agreed demonstration expectations. Excellent written and verbal presentation ability. Ability to obtain SC or higher Clearance for UK-caveated programmes. Degree, or equivalent level qualification in Systems, Software, Mathematics or other relevant STEM centric field. Desirable: Understanding of future direction of travel for synthetics-centric technologies. Understanding of current and / or maturing UK MOD policies and guidance on synthetics related areas.
