We are now seeking a proactive and innovative Procurement Manager to join our team and support the delivery of a best-in-class procurement service within our social housing organisation.
About the Role
As CKH’s Procurement Manager, you will work closely with the Change & Programme Manager to implement procurement, contract, and supplier relationship management standards. This role is pivotal to the successful implementation of policies, procedures, and business processes to ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities, with a strong focus on internal customer support, compliance, social value, and delivering value for money.
In this role, you will leverage your public sector procurement experience to ensure that CKH not only meets regulatory requirements but also leads the way in driving continuous improvement, innovative solutions, and sharing procurement best practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing procurement process and commercial analysis support to the Change and Programme Manager.
* Leading and working with internal key stakeholders across the business to develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure that all goods, works, and services are procured to the appropriate quality, required service level, and best value.
* Supporting the development and implementation of a 'Contract Management Standard' within CKH to ensure we are proactive, efficient, and effective in the management of the performance of our contracts.
* Supporting the implementation of all new contracts and ongoing monitoring, ensuring standards and expectations are met.
* Embedding a set of Core KPIs within CKH related to effective contract management, keeping up to date with legislative requirements, and advising the team and the business of any changes or updates.
* Designing and delivering training across the business which sets out the minimum contract standards expected of employees and developing refresher training for all contract managers.
* Ensuring the successful execution of procurement projects as directed by the Change and Programme Manager, supervising and enhancing the procurement processes.
* Identifying risks and potential compliance issues to secure final resolution and business sign-off.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience of public contract regulation (PCR2015), preferably gained within a housing organisation.
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and an understanding of the new Procurement Act 2023.
* Completion of the TPP certification module is ideal.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* End-to-end project management experience.
* Ability to drive continuous improvement and introduce innovative procurement solutions.
* A collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence and guide internal teams and suppliers alike.
* A passion for delivering value for money while maintaining high standards and compliance.
* CIPS Qualified.
* Project Management qualification (desirable).
