Senior Project Manager - Rail - The Role:
* Lead and manage complex Transport infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
* Collaborate with the Head of Sales within this market to develop new business opportunities and win projects within the rail sector.
* Oversee and manage multiple projects that may evolve into a program of work, ensuring individual project objectives are met.
* Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
* Manage contract negotiations, change control, quality, risk and schedule management to meet the project requirements while minimising risks and maximising opportunities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
* Provide expertise and direction in the areas of site installation, electrical engineering, control systems, safety systems, commissioning and systems management.
* Ensure effective communication of project progress, issues and resolutions to senior management.
Qualifications:
* Chartered Engineer, and recognised Project Management Qualification (i.e. APM, PMI etc) and Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience & Skills:
* Minimum 10+ years of experience delivering complex projects with multiple clients.
* Proven track record in delivering large-scale Automation Infrastructure projects on time, to budget and to quality standards.
* Strong organisational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and support their growth.
* Must have significant experience managing NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
* Experience in program and project management, site installation, control systems, safety systems, commissioning, and systems management.
* Understand the infrastructure industry regulatory requirements.
* Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues.
* Comfortable interacting with senior management.
* Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills; adept at presenting to all levels of the organisation.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
