Business Development Manager
Home based covering the North of Manchester to the Scottish Borders.
Basic salary £40,000 up to £48,000 depending on experience, plus annual bonus, company car, 33 days holidays, pension, laptop, mobile and expenses.
My client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of ideally working in the outdoor lighting industry selling into local authority highway departments, contractors, wholesalers and consultants. Any knowledge of external lighting products i.e. columns, lanterns and accessories would be advantageous. Whilst expertise in street lighting is a plus, dedication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn is essential.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be confident in developing new business in your area, whilst also managing existing accounts and upselling into lapsed clients. A strong interest in technical aspects and confident liaising and discussing projects with managers is required.

1. Experience of using CRM tool and Microsoft Office Suite
2. Account planning
3. Identifying and developing new business to drive growth and account management with existing accounts and upselling into lapsed clients
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
5. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
6. Develop and implement strategic business plans
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business strategies
8. Prepare and present business proposals and reports to senior management
9. Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics
10. Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
