At Watford Community Housing, we provide vital services that help people to live better lives. We’re looking for a Part-Time Resource Planner to join our resource planning team to assist in the delivery of our reactive maintenance, domestic service and breakdowns.
What’s the role?
We are looking for a Resource Planner to form a job share with one of our existing colleagues with the aim of taking on a fast-paced and integral role in the repairs department. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organised and values working as part of a team and needs part-time hours.
In this role you will need to:

2. take responsibility for your key trade area
3. be flexible and able to adapt to change
4. have excellent time management skills for both yourself and our operatives
5. enjoy working at a fast pace alongside a brilliant and supportive team
What are we looking for?
You will be customer-focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You’ll have an excellent grasp of a repairs/maintenance service function. You will have a background in customer services and knowledge of the housing or construction sectors would be a distinct advantage.
1. knowledge/experience of using scheduling systems is preferred but training will be provided
2. experience of having previously worked within a Repairs and Maintenance environment is desirable
3. strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy and reactive workload
4. a positive and flexible attitude
5. the ability to demonstrate reliability, initiative, and the ability to work as part of a team and on your own.
6. proficient IT knowledge and understanding
7. a good standard of education with a GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at level C or above and the ability to demonstrate suitable work experience necessary for delivering the role.
8. You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.
9. knowledge of the housing sector
10. knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
11. social housing experience
12. knowledge of relevant legislation and processes within the social housing sector.
