Main Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Assistant Editor (Journalism & Digital Growth), you will have a passion for using data to drive key editorial decision making and story commissioning.
* You will develop expertise in SEO and audience analytics to support the department's journalism and maximise audience across digital platforms.
* You will combine a strategic approach to planned Sport content, as well as being reactive to live audience trends on a daily basis.
* You will help drive digital growth by working closely with other audience teams across the BBC & sharing best practice.
Are you the right candidate?
* First-class Sport News judgement, including editorial compliance of multi-platform content based on substantial sport journalism experience.
* Strong experience of written Sport content and the various factors impacting audience performance.
* A great team worker, sharing best practices between teams, with excellent communication skills.
* Direct experience of issues affecting diverse communities in Sport.
* An in-depth knowledge and passion for Wales and Welsh Sport which can be applied with a strategic approach.
