Package: Up to £60,000 + £5,000 car allowance + Travel paid + Bonus (7/8%)
My client is a leading UK-based mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering services provider known for delivering high-quality M&E solutions across a range of industries. They specialise in providing efficient, innovative, and sustainable solutions for commercial office spaces, data centres, and mission-critical environments.
The Role:
They are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in London. In this role, you will lead the electrical design process for a variety of complex commercial and data centre projects, ensuring innovative, efficient, and sustainable designs. As a senior team member, you will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the electrical design process for major commercial and data centre projects from concept to completion.
2. Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications that meet client and industry standards.
3. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
4. Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure compliance with design specifications.
5. Ensure all designs meet health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
6. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support their development.
7. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and contractors.
8. Monitor project progress and ensure designs are delivered within budget and timeline constraints.
Projects Include:
1. Large-scale commercial office developments in London.
2. High-security data centres across the UK and Europe.
3. Complex M&E projects for various high-performance buildings.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in electrical design engineering, ideally within commercial offices or data centres.
3. Strong knowledge of relevant electrical standards and building regulations.
4. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-specific tools.
5. Excellent communication and project management skills.
6. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is desirable.
Package:
Salary up to £60,000 per annum
£5,000 car allowance
Travel expenses paid (To & from the office)
Annual bonus (7-8%)
