Job Description: Performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks that include domestic and International shipping, receiving, issuing, gathering, packaging, delivering, and cycle counting parts. Ensures materials and supplies are available and distributed to all areas of the business. Prepares items for shipment ensuring cost effective courier service. Engaged in the business by actively participating in company events, training, education, lean manufacturing and L3 programs and disciplines. Responsibilities Issue all parts in stock to the correct job Ensure all parts are pulled and transacted in the system Ensure parts are delivered to appropriate production area Receive parts on Purchase Orders and disposition accordingly Receive parts from in-house assembly Efficiently disposition, transact and record all parts for outside services (plating, hard coating, etc.) Coordinate with Purchasing on the delivery of components and outside services Cycle count parts according to procedure and process Examine and unpack incoming shipments, notifying purchasing of shortages and damaged items. Route items to various locations depending on demand. Operate forklift to move or hoist shipments. Receive inbound inventory and administer the processing using current system. Monitor return process. Maintain accurate inventory records. Investigate and resolve situations where items received are not properly documented. Perform regular cycle counts and advise Leader and Purchasing of cycle count issues on a timely basis. Ship products domestically and internationally Keep an inventory of parts in stock Notify Purchasing of parts that need to be ordered Keep the shipping/receiving area neat, clean and organised Undertake any other duties appropriate to your skill levels, from time to time to meet the needs of the business. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Experience working within a team environment. Ability to accurately count, weigh, measure and compare packing slips of incoming shipments in order to verify information against orders, invoices or bills of lading. Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment to all areas. Ability to pick and kit received components, and deliver to appropriate area. Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers. Working knowledge of computerised inventory control system. Proven attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills across various job functions. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects. Ability to accurately perform simple arithmetic. Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel. Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures would be an advantage Excellent Microsoft software skills including Word, Excel and Power Point.
