About the Job:
To strategically lead the company's operational activities to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation while driving customer satisfaction to deliver profitable growth and performance efficiency to evolve the business in a sustainable manner.
Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards and in line with our customers and clients' regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To provide operational leadership for the Chirton team ensuring all activities align with long term objectives and contribute to sustainable growth.
2. To oversee the project planning including estimating, focusing on optimising efficiency and productivity.
3. To work closely with the department managers to ensure that we are managing and optimising opportunities and efficiencies.
4. To lead and build a team of motivated, professional, and capable colleagues working together, continuing to be the recognised leaders in the relevant market sectors.
5. To set comprehensive goals for productivity by evaluating performance.
6. Full P&L leadership and business planning responsibility.
7. Be the champion of quality throughout the business. Maintain and enforce high standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Use strategic planning skills, including forecasting industry trends, assessing market demands, business case analysis and identifying growth opportunities to deliver business growth.
9. Lead change initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing best practices, and driving organisational transformation.
10. Ensure that the business operates in a way that enhances value in Health and Safety, Environmental, Social and Governance matters.
11. To maintain a forward-thinking, solutions-focused and innovative approach to improve and develop tools, processes, and solutions.
12. Committed to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and personal development.
Scope:
1. Action planning with the UK Engineering Managing Director to enable the delivery of company goals and objectives.
2. Actively support business development activities, to expand their client base and secure new projects.
3. Provide expertise and support during the tendering process.
Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
1. Degree or similar qualification in Engineering.
2. Highly organised, diligent and with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
3. Strong technical expertise in engineering principles.
4. Success in managing intricate engineering projects within budget and time constraints.
5. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
