Account Manager - Design Studio
Location: Ancoats, Manchester

We operate a design subscription model, providing our clients with unlimited design work for a fixed monthly fee. This approach allows us to build deeper ongoing relationships with our clients and focus on delivering continuous value rather than one-off projects.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring their needs are met whilst maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships. You'll work closely with our creative teams to deliver outstanding projects on time and within our subscription model framework.
Unlike traditional agency roles, this position focuses less on quotes and invoicing and more on client retention, relationship building and ensuring productive throughput of design work within our subscription model.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage client relationships, acting as the main point of contact between the studio and clients
* Develop deep understanding of clients' businesses, goals and challenges
* Ensure clients maximise the value of their design subscription
* Monitor subscription usage and proactively manage client expectations
* Write creative briefs and ensure all team members understand project requirements
* Coordinate internal resources to ensure efficient project delivery and productive throughput
* Monitor project progress and keep clients informed at all stages
* Identify and pursue opportunities for subscription upgrades with existing clients
* Focus on retention strategies and subscription renewal
* Collaborate with the new business team on pitches and proposals
* Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during project delivery
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in account management, within a design, creative or marketing agency
* Experience with subscription or retainer-based client relationships advantageous
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
* Commercial awareness and understanding of the creative industry
* Experience in project management and workflow optimisation
* Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under pressure
* Proficiency with project management tools and CRM systems
