Job Description: ServiceNow Architect with Telco Domain Knowledge
Job Overview:
We are seeking a ServiceNow Architect with knowledge of the Telco Domain and a valid UK work visa who can join us immediately.
The Enterprise Architect for ServiceNow in the Telecom Domain will be responsible for leading the design, development, and governance of ServiceNow-based solutions within a telecom environment. This role involves translating business needs into technical solutions while ensuring alignment with telecom-specific requirements and standards, such as TM Forum (TMF). It also focuses on maximizing the effectiveness of ServiceNow modules like Telecom Service Operations Management (TSOM) and Telecom Service Management (TSM).
Key Responsibilities:
* Architectural Strategy & Design:
o Define and develop the end-to-end architecture for ServiceNow implementations in the telecom domain.
o Lead architectural discussions and decisions around ServiceNow modules, especially TSOM, TSM, ITOM (IT Operations Management), and ITSM (IT Service Management), ensuring they align with business goals.
o Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for platform optimization, integration, and enhancements.
o Design architecture frameworks and patterns that ensure seamless integration between ServiceNow and telecom operational systems (e.g., OSS/BSS).
o Collaborate with telecom-specific business units to gather requirements and ensure a smooth integration process.
* Stakeholder Management:
o Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable and effective ServiceNow solutions.
o Lead discussions with senior management to communicate design decisions and solution benefits.
* Customization & Integration:
o Customize ServiceNow applications, forms, and workflows to meet Telco-specific needs (e.g., order management, network provisioning, incident management).
o Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, network management tools) to streamline processes and data flow.
* Governance & Compliance:
o Establish and enforce architecture governance practices to ensure consistency and alignment with industry standards such as TMF, ITIL, and other relevant telecom frameworks.
o Monitor architecture for compliance with enterprise governance, security, and data privacy policies, including GDPR and ISO standards.
o Implement and enforce version control, code review, and release management procedures.
* Integration & Transformation:
o Oversee the integration of ServiceNow with telecom platforms and applications, such as OSS/BSS systems, CRM, ERP, and custom-built telecom applications.
* Performance & Optimization:
o Monitor the performance of the ServiceNow platform, identify areas for improvement, and optimize for speed, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* ServiceNow Expertise:
o In-depth knowledge and experience with ServiceNow platform architecture, modules, and configurations (e.g., TSOM, TSM, ITOM, ITSM, and custom applications).
o Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Glide, and ServiceNow APIs.
o Experience with ServiceNow integrations (e.g., REST, SOAP, JDBC, Web Services) and data transformation.
* Telco Domain Knowledge:
o Strong understanding of telecommunications business processes such as service order management, provisioning, fault management, network operations, customer service, and billing.
o Experience with Telco-specific applications, workflows, and system integration.
* ITIL & Best Practices:
o Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management) and how they map to ServiceNow.
o Knowledge of ServiceNow development and administration best practices.
* Certifications:
o ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist.
o ITIL Foundation Certification (preferably ITIL v3 or higher).
* Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
o Strong collaboration skills with both internal and external teams.
