To provide assistance in the provision of pharmacy aseptic services at RSCH for patients within the Trust including: supervision of staff, organisation of day to day activities, preparation of cytotoxic products, worksheet and label preparation and monitoring of the environment. Main Responsibilities: Participate in co-ordinating the activities for the aseptic unit, managing staff placement and ensuring safe working practices within the unit. Ensure that aseptic duties are carried out according to national standards Work towards achieving regional/national accreditations e.g. Pre and In Process Checking (PIPC) as specified in the Assistant Strategy, and maintain an up to date portfolio of evidence to meet CPD requirements of the accreditation. Work towards achieving A1 assessor qualification and maintain an up to date portfolio of evidence to meet A1 NVQ assessor requirements. Act as a role-model and provide a positive mentoring experience for new and junior staff. Act as line manager for designated member(s) of staff taking responsibility for performance review and objective setting in line with Trust policies.
