About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our welcoming school community in High Wycombe. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the early development of our students, starting from September 2025 (or sooner). As an EYFS Teacher, you will be responsible for nurturing and guiding young learners as they begin their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage & Inspire: Plan, prepare, and deliver creative, play-based lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of each child, fostering a love for learning.
* Create a Nurturing Environment: Build a safe, stimulating, and respectful classroom where children can grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
* Monitor Progress: Assess and track each childs development, providing constructive feedback to ensure continuous growth.
* Develop Key Skills: Focus on building essential early learning skills such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and social interaction.
* Support Growth: Promote a growth mindset by encouraging children to build self-confidence, resilience, and independence.
* Collaboration: Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, keeping everyone informed of progress and any areas of concern.
* Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, promoting an inclusive learning environment.
* Professional Development: Actively participate in school events, staff development opportunities, and parent meetings to continue your growth as an educator.
Who Were Looking For:
* Essential Qualifications: A valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
* Experience: Proven experience in teaching within an EYFS setting, preferably in Reception.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and the unique developmental needs of young children.
* Classroom Management: Ability to create a positive and productive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and respect.
* Passion for Teaching: A deep desire to help young children reach their full potential and develop a love for learning.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Commitment to Safeguarding: A strong commitment to ensuring the welfare and safeguarding of all children.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience working with children with additional needs (SEN).
* Familiarity with current best practices in Early Years education.
* Knowledge and experience with outdoor learning or providing diverse, rich learning environments.
