About the role: The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher. You will work in close collaboration with our Teaching body to deliver the current curriculum to students and ensure all students are engaging with their education, in this role you will be expected to support with the management of behaviour within the classroom, as well as work in a variety of whole class exercises, as well as on a one to one basis and in small focus groups. Examples of the work the successful candidate will be expected to deliver are to: • Take responsibility for a caseload of students inside and outside of the classroom during structured or unstructured time. • Deliver intervention programs to individuals and small groups, preparing relevant and appropriate learning experiences in conjunction with the department staff. The hours of this position are Monday to Friday, working 6 hours per day, term time only.
