Job Title: Governance & Financial Controls Support

Salary: Circa £60,000
What you'll be doing:
* Support senior colleagues to interpret and present information related to finance governance and the financial control environment to key stakeholders across the Maritime and Land Sector.
* Offer support to the business and functional stakeholders to assist in the resolution of 'end-to-end' process issues.
* Providing quality insights on the 1st line of defence control activities.
* Work with stakeholders at all levels within the business to promote the importance of financial control activities and assist in integrating the Financial Control Framework (FCF) into the finance function.
* Contribute finance governance insights to business returns (Operational Assurance Statement, Audit Review Board, etc.) and share knowledge within the Finance Governance Team (GCC).
* Support the provision of governance information for key business reviews (Monthly Management, Quarterly Business Reviews, etc.) and share insights across the UK sectors to strengthen common activities.
* Act as a connection between the Finance Governance team and other areas of the function to gather and share relevant information, ensuring a thorough review and challenge of the data across the enterprise.
Your skills and experiences:
* Solid understanding of the principles of an effective financial control environment.
* An understanding of the three lines of assurance model and its application within the finance function.
* Proven ability to build relationships and understand issues to provide valuable insights to functional and business leaders.
* Fully qualified in finance (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).

You will work closely with our Operations and Assurance teams to deliver high-quality insights to senior stakeholders while cultivating positive relationships within the Business Interface team, supporting Process Owners and Capability Centres across diverse sectors, including Submarines, Land, and Naval Ships.
