We are seeking an Associate Maintenance Lead for our Macclesfield campus, the 2nd largest operational site within AstraZeneca's global network. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the Maintenance Manager and Engineering Technicians, ensuring that maintenance, calibrations and improvements are effectively implemented by utilising modern maintenance techniques. Accountabilities: You'll ensure that compliance is maintained from both a Safety Health Environment and Good Manufacturing Perspective and that improvements deliver an increase in robustness and reliability of the manufacturing assets. We'll look to you to contribute to, develop and deliver improvement plans across Engineering. This will involve supporting the maintenance and project processes, specifically relating to availability, performance & output. You'll support the delivery of the maintenance strategy through effective planning, resource allocation and liaising with contractors. Using lean and manufacturing tools (such as Reliability Centred Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis and Condition Based Monitoring) you'll actively participate in and deliver continuous improvement activities and projects. In the role you will act as a deputy to the Maintenance Manager. The role is aligned internally to the Technical Support Engineer role. Essential Skills/Experience: Experience in delivery of initiatives, maintenance best practice and local improvement practices Understanding of Computerised Maintenance Systems Experience in structured problem solving Desirable Skills/Experience: Recognised Training Route such as Apprenticeship to HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in an engineering related field Basic statistical understanding and the ability to produce technical reports and documents Experience in Management Systems, Reliability Centred Maintenance and problem solving tools Experience in delivering change and investigation management Experience of working with industrial processing plant systems in a clean room environment such as autoclaves, ovens, freeze dryers and/or automated assembly/ packaging equipment Ideally you will hold a professional registration status with an appropriate engineering institution Business Financial Awareness Experience of team management and planning When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
