Copart UK are currently recruiting a Banking Manager to work with our Finance team, based at our Head Office in Wootton, Bedfordshire, MK43 9EJ.
This role is responsible for the supervision of the UK and Irish Banking function, ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled timely, and Sarbanes Oxley controls are adhered to.
The role is also responsible for the management of relationships with the company’s banking providers, including, but not limited to, bank, credit card and cash collection.
The role requires an individual who is commercially focused with effective communication and attention to detail. People management skills are desirable as the role has 3 direct reports.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the management of several bank accounts and perform regular bank reconciliations
2. Work to minimize exceptional items at Month-End, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of discrepancies
3. Conduct weekly checks with teammates to maintain the integrity of reconciliations
4. Supervision of UK Treasury Requirements, to include bank reconciliations and maintenance of intercompany balances
5. Support in forecasting and reporting on cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity
6. Manage relationships with banking providers, covering bank accounts, credit cards, and cash collection services
7. Lead and supervise the Banking Accounts Team, comprising 3 direct reports, ensuring their development and performance
8. Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, including the collation and review of supporting evidence for audits
9. Review of procedures within team and suggestions for improvement
What we need from you:
1. Advanced Excel skills to manipulate, manage, analyse and present data, including knowledge and experience with pivot tables, macros and Excel functions (such as VLOOKUPS, INDEX, MATCH, COUNTIF, IF …etc.)
2. Experience of supervising a team
3. Excellent attention to detail
4. Good communication skills – responsible for working with all levels across the business
5. Team player with a can-do attitude Planning, co-ordination and organizational skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines
6. Experienced of JD Edwards system
7. On-line banking experience
8. Experience of Microsoft Access
