About the Financial Controller Role: As Financial Controller, you will report directly to the Managing Director and provide critical financial insights to drive business growth. You will oversee a finance team, ensuring accurate reporting and financial control, while also identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis – Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and provide meaningful financial insights to senior leadership. Performance Monitoring – Track key financial metrics, cost drivers, and variances, ensuring proactive decision-making to enhance profitability. Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead the development of annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and long-term financial planning. Compliance & Controls – Maintain strong internal controls, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and timely submission of statutory returns. Audit & Year-End Processes – Prepare year-end accounts, liaise with auditors, and present financial reports to senior management. Team Leadership – Manage and mentor a finance team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture. Process Improvement – Identify areas for financial and operational efficiencies, driving initiatives to streamline processes and maximise profitability. What We’re Looking For: Fully qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with experience in a management-level finance role within an SME. Strong knowledge of accounting procedures, financial controls, and reporting systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in group reporting and variance analysis is highly desirable. A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Why Join Our Client?
