As with SHI, the Inside Sales Representative is an integral part of the sales process by collaborating with outside sales to provide hardware, software and service support to their assigned customers. This individual will work with key server, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud and unified communication and collaboration partners to create pricing quotes and process purchase orders. Post-sale activities such as Order Status and Support inquiries will also be part of the overall job responsibility. This role works directly with customers and reports to the Inside Sales Manager and is required to attend the SHI office location in Milton Keynes as required by management. Include, but not limited to: Establish and develop customer relationships via email and phone within assigned book(s) of business Represent as a central point of contact for our customer base Act as a liaison between Outside Sales, customers, and SHI’s internal departments Provide excellent customer service and support to customers and outside sales team Create pricing quotes for customers based on IT requirements, with a focus on server, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud solutions Recommend IT solutions or product based on customer’s IT requirements Engage on large customer deals through deal registration with internal teams, vendors, and track these through our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool Provide sourcing, product quotes, pricing, and product information to the outside sales team Establish vendor and distribution channel partnerships via meetings and phone conversations Enter purchase orders and provide updates to Outside Sales and customer of order status Actively participate in team and customer meetings with Outside Sales or with managers to review important updates and changes Attend OEM, Industry and Solution based trainings to obtain the latest information for targeted Solutions as outlined by Leadership Set up and participate on conference calls between Outside Sales, customers, vendors and our internal teams Be proactive with problem resolution by handling product returns, invoicing questions and customer concerns Collaborate and strategize with Account Executive on potential new opportunities based on customer’s quoting and order history Follow up open quotes with customers and renewals as required and provide feedback to Outside sales to increase our overall win rate. A minimum of 2 years of experience within the Inside Sales Organization and/or HWAS or ESG departments or similar customer service role engaging with customers. Advanced knowledge of servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud regarding their impact on the business and their interconnectivity within the IT ecosystem Expertise in mainstream technologies to include, but not limited to: Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Palo Alto, Pure Storage, Azure and AWS Must have experience building and maintaining professional relationships with vendors and partners and other departments within the company Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex subject matter Ability to follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities Proactive and critical thought process in approach to selling to enhance sales experience for client Ability to work well in a fast paced, team environment Excellent consultative sales skills with the ability to recommend servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud, and partner technologies to our customers based on their impact on the business and their interconnectivity within the IT ecosystem Self-motivated with ability to work with limited direction and oversight Additional language skills preferable Business working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break. However due to the nature of the role, with its international reach and shared projects, working outside of these hours to service business needs will occur occasionally, and employees are expected to be readily available in these eventualities.
