About the job The Pre-Sales team is looking for a Pre-Sales Manager to support the Public Sector Vertical across Northern Europe (UK, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Ireland) and manage a staff consisting of personnel within the Pre-Sales Support team in order to provide sales consultation to SAS customers on our product and solution portfolio. As a Pre-Sales Manager, you will: Providing proactive leadership of Pre-Sales team with the execution of a coherent plan with excellence in execution (qualification, stakeholder influence, value statement etc) Ability to help, advise and shape SAS goto market strategy within the NE Public Sector space with sales leadership within the context of regional differences Supports and drives SAS and hosted solution adoption in sales cycles. Challenge the status quo in a constructive manner to modernise and effect customer dialog Responsible for consistent team-wide delivery of SAS technology and solution- messages to customers in sales engagements. Required Qualifications At least twelve years of experience in technical sales, marketing, or support. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or quantitative field. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications. Market Knowledge and experience in at least 2 of the following Central Government, Health, life Sciences, Defence, Regional Government, Policing. Ability to build and grow a cohesive team across country boundaries optimising resources and skills in the team Good awareness software, cloud, AI (and potentially SAS) technology and its application in public sector. Ability to influence, setup, steer and lead cross functional teams across SAS (including non-direct reports in the technology, data science and solution teams ) for opportunities. Ability to communicate with senior civil servant and stakeholders (eg CDAO, CDIO) and peers in varied customer base Understanding of the partner eco-system to support areas where we might not have domain skills or ability to transact Ability to travel both locally and in NE region where necessary You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.
