Job summary
You will be performing a range of scientific and technical activities relating to the collection and cryopreservation of Stem Cells.
We will provide you with an extensive induction and training programme and ongoing development to support you in your role and achieving your career ambitions.
Main duties of the job
1. You will be required to clean, maintain and perform environmental monitoring of the cleanroom suite to a high specification. This will require wearing cover-all garments while inside the clean rooms.
2. You will be required to maintain stocks and reagents in-line with MHRA regulations
3. The role will require you to work standard hours and days. Occasionally there may be a requirement to work some evenings, weekends and bank holidays depending on the project schedule, but with appropriate notice
4. You will be required to manually handle equipment on a daily basis weighing up to 13 kgs, with or without mechanical aids, with appropriate training
5. You will be responsible for the support and training of new and less experienced staff

6. Level 4 qualification BTEC or HNC in a relevant science subject, NHSBT Foundation Degree OR equivalent knowledge and experience of working in a manufacturing, laboratory, logistics or supply chain environment requiring intermediate level theoretical knowledge acquired through formal training.
7. Evidence of furthering personal development.
8. Willingness to undertake further training and development.
