Hunter AHP Resourcing is currently looking for a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join a well-established NHS Hospital in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and experienced pharmacy technician to contribute to patient safety and the efficient management of medicines within a busy hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the safe and effective management of medicines across the hospital.
Conduct medicines reconciliation on patient admission and discharge.
Review medication charts and liaise with clinical teams to optimise patient care.
Provide clinical support to the pharmacy team and multidisciplinary teams across wards.
Ensure the accurate supply of medicines and address any medication-related queries.
Participate in audits and clinical governance activities.
Assist in the provision of information on medicines to healthcare staff and patients.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy protocols and patient safety standards.
Requirements:
Qualified Pharmacy Technician with GPhC registration.
Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting, ideally within medicines management.
Strong knowledge of pharmacy procedures and medication safety practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
Available for an immediate start or in the near future.
