Job summary The appointment is to commence initially for a period of 6 months extendable by mutual agreement. ( Qualifications ) MBBS or equivalent is essential. The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required. The duties of this post are equivalent to FY2/ Core ST1-ST2 Level. Main duties of the job The appointee will be expected to work as part of the Vascular Surgical teams to deliver clinical care and participate in daily ward rounds. The post holder will be expected to attend theatre sessions and clinics as allocated. Participation in the local vascular learning programme is mandatory. It is expected that the post holder will complete at least one quality improvement project and present at local level. Depending upon interest and progress support is available to prepare for MRCS and more in-depth Quality improvement project leading to publications.
