Rotational Ward Clerk Band 2 - 30 hours - Permanent

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Rotational Ward Clerk Team, who likes variety and is able to work flexibly, efficiently and independently to support a range of services.
The Rotational Ward Clerk role provides essential cover for the administrative roles that support our inpatient services here at Tameside Hospital; this will include; in patient Wards, Same Day Emergency Care & Early Pregnancy patient receptions, as well as general and specialist administration.
There are a variety of shift patterns between the hours of 7am and 9pm across a 7 day footprint and the successful candidate must be flexible to work across these hours/day including bank holidays etc.
Main duties of the job
Providing a comprehensive ward reception and administration service, thepost holder will, in collaboration with other ward staff, support patients,relatives and other staff members as a first point of contact. The Ward clerkwill update the Trust Electronic Patient Record (Lorenzo EPR) accurately andin real time whilst also ensuring patient case notes are available andappropriately maintained throughout each admission.
