A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Aseptic Technician or Science Manufacturing Technician who has extensive experience in the manufacture of aseptic products in a hospital setting or equivalent, to join our growing and forward-thinking Pharmacy Aseptic Services Department at Northwick Park Hospital.

Main duties of the job
1. To take responsibility for the day-to-day organisation and planning of the TPN and Cytotoxic compounding service of the aseptic unit at pharmacy Northwick Park Hospital according to the principles of GMP and QA.
2. Provides specialist Aseptic support to the Senior Pharmacist Aseptic Services and the Chief Technician of Aseptic Services in dealing with Quality Management System issues.
3. To manage and supervise the provision of pharmacy aseptic services especially in the chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition (PN) reconstitution to all areas of the Hospital.
4. Monitor resources, activities, and adherence to quality assurance in chemotherapy and PN reconstitution.
5. Assist the senior manager in developing Aseptic services in line with Trust and Pharmacy department development policies.

Character and skills

Education and Training
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPHC or Open Awards Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Aseptic Pharmaceuticals Processing.
* Substantive experience in Pharmacy Aseptic or GMP related environment manufacturing aseptic products.
