We are delighted to be seeking to recruit 2 x substantive Human Rights Officers to work in GMMH.
Here in GMMH we are on an improvement journey which includes ensuring we practice in a way to uphold human rights and to demonstrate our responsibilities as a public sector organisation to support our citizens by embedding human rights in our provision of mental health care. We are looking for individuals with a background in Human Rights Law and practical experience working in public sector or voluntary sector services to embed human rights into policy and practice. You need to be a good communicator with the confidence to promote professional curiosity. Experience working across communities with protected characteristics would be desirable.
Post 2 : Corporate Professions and Quality Directorate.Senior Human Rights Officer (Band 7)The postholder will agree their portfolio aligned to key drivers across GMMH to embed human rights into practice and within policy and strategic decision making. You will be line managed by the Consultant HOPES practitioner. This is a Trustwide position with supervision and advisory responsibilities to the Chief Nurse and Medical Director.
Both posts attract the support of our newly recruited HOPES practitioners as well as the broader Safeguarding Team, Mental Health Legislation Team, Patient Safety team, Nurse Consultants and clinical colleagues. Together you will be a strong professional alliance who will drive our intentions to be a human rights respecting organisation; placing Greater Manchester Citizens at the heart of our delivery by ensuring engagement, listening and advice to service users and carers as well as clinical teams.
