Salary: £45,326+depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing:
* Analysis ofsystem requirements and transposing them in to the systemdesign
Creating and reviewingdocumentation to be used by the wider FESS team and customers Configuring supplier providedsoftware to ensure that the application builds are successfullycarried out on a regularbasis Coaching, and provide technicalGuidance to junior members of theteam Maintaining familiarity with allcurrent tools /SW products / processes used within theteam Managing your own time effectivelyto maintain tight programmetimescales
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Strongengineeringbackground
Experience of system and softwareapplication design and architectureprinciples Understands modelling techniquesand tools (UML, Enterprise Architect,XML/XSD) Experience of requirementsanalysis, elaboration and management tools (RationalDOORS) Experience of using configurationand version control tools (Rational ClearCase,Git) Experience of Windows operatingsystems environments, test processes, database technologies and s/wdevelopment knowledge, Requirements Management and Traceabilitywith an understanding of usecases A pro-active approach to problemsolving, the ability to work as part of a team and motivate others,demonstrable performance across the company behaviours, effectivecommunication skills
Desirable:
* Experience withdatabase technologies (Oracle, SQL,etc.)
Experience of software applicationbuilds anddeployment. The ability to analyse and solvecomplex technical problems, communicate complex ideas and solutionsto technical and non-technicalaudiences

Working within the Systems DesignTeam for the Typhoon aircraft involves the integration of newradars and functionalities, understanding and recording datarequirements, and ensuring operational efficiency.
