The role Are you enthusiastic, personable, and driven? Beyond is on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join our fast-paced Disease Awareness team as a Junior Account Executive. We’re proud to have won several new clients, and now we’re looking for someone who’s ready to be part of our next success story. In this role, you’ll dive into an exciting portfolio of clients, ranging from pharmaceutical companies to a virtual hospital and a fertility clinic. Our work spans multiple therapy areas, including rare disease, ensuring that no two days are ever the same. One day, you could be developing the strategy for a patient engagement campaign; the next, you might be hosting a journalist event to dominate headlines. If you’re passionate about disease awareness, patient advocacy and working with the media and social media, this role is perfect for you. You’ll have the chance to develop innovative patient education materials, conduct and leverage expert-led research and devise newsworthy media stories. Key responsibilities Under the guidance of an Account Manager and/or Account Director, you will be expected to complete a range of activities and deliver results within a fast-moving environment: Writing and media relations: · Provide support across a range of activities, including campaign development · Work closely with colleagues to create press releases, educational materials, reports and supporting communication materials · Liaise with health and consumer media and develop strong relationships with journalists, patient organisations and other key stakeholders Creative, digital and social media: · Develop and execute digital and social media content to engage with target audiences on a range of topics and therapy areas · Produce and/ or liaise with our creative team to produce engaging visual materials, such as videos, infographics, social media assets and websites Client liaison: · Be a key player in day-to-day client account activity, with support from senior team members · Ensure we manage project timelines effectively and meet deadlines that have been agreed with our clients · Monitor and report on the success of campaigns Agency participation: · Contribute to meetings, idea generation and proposals within the Disease Awareness team and across the wider agency Required knowledge, skills and expertise · Undergraduate degree · Ideally a period of relevant work experience · An interest in health/disease awareness · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and speak with confidence · Strong writing skills · Exceptional attention to detail · Creative thinker · Self-motivated, with the ability to make decisions and use initiative but also to make sound judgement on when guidance and support is required · Team player · Ability to work flexibly, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment · Open, investigative and ready to learn new skills · Capacity for understanding financial and budgetary activities · Good computer skills, including MS Office applications · Must be prepared to occasionally travel for work, including abroad and over weekends · Due to our office's location, a valid UK driver's license and access to a car would be highly beneficial Rewards and benefits Here’s a glimpse of some of the fantastic perks we offer at Beyond: · Hybrid working: As well as working from home, benefit from catching up with the team in our Sussex office · Flexible hours: Early Friday finishes to kick-start your weekend · Time off: Enjoy 25 days of annual leave and get your birthday off too Plus, on top of your holiday allowance, we close for 3 days between Christmas and New Year to ensure you have a relaxing break.
