Osborne Richards have an excellent opportunity for a Junior Planning Officer to join a Planning Consultancy in London for a permanent role.
Providing support to Senior Planners within the team, you will be carrying out site appraisals and liaising with clients and local authorities as appropriate. You will mainly be dealing with minor planning applications and written appeals, but our client will also help you in developing the skills and experience needed in order to progress to handling more complex planning applications.
To apply, you will need to hold a recognised planning qualification and have a minimum of 12 months of recent relevant work experience with either a planning consultancy or a local authorities planning team, working within Development Management. Ideally, you will be working towards RTPI Licentiate or hold a full membership. In order to be considered for this role, you must have excellent research, analytical, and report-writing skills, along with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders. In this role, you must be able to demonstrate an understanding and interest in planning law, recent planning policy changes, and design.
The pay rate for this role is circa £28,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on your experience, so this is a well-paid role and an excellent opportunity. Our client also offers a flexible working arrangement.
