The Role and Company:
My client is an established and well-known name within their sector. They are embarking on a digital transformation journey to modernise their business and are setting up a new delivery function within their IT team.
This is a newly created Business Analyst role and will report directly into the Head of Transformation. As the Business Analyst, you will drive requirements gathering and analysis for a variety of projects and initiatives ranging from minor development requests for existing legacy applications to the implementation of new cloud-based SaaS platforms.
This is an office-based role in Telford initially.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with business users to understand requirements for enhancing and improving existing legacy systems.
2. Document and analyse software applications to identify enhancement opportunities.
3. Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet business needs.
4. Support the design and delivery of modernised systems by gathering and documenting requirements.
5. Conduct workshops, interviews, and other activities to engage stakeholders and define future-state processes.
6. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, IT teams, and senior management.
7. Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical users.
8. Support the change management process by ensuring user needs and impacts are considered.
Skills and Experience required:
1. Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on IT or digital transformation projects.
2. Experience documenting software applications preferably based in .Net and SQL.
3. Solid understanding of CRM systems, websites, and financial applications.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
5. Ability to create clear documentation, including business requirements, process maps, and user stories.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
7. Familiarity with legacy systems and modernisation projects is highly desirable.
8. Any previous experience of Power BI or data analytics would be great but is not essential.
