You will be working for one London's most successful principal contractors, that specialises in refurbishment and fitout projects covering both internal and external works. Based in London and Kent, they have a strong pipeline of work and looking to continue the growth of the business in 2025.
Your new role
You will be the Health and Safety manager dealing with all site matters. This is a site-based role covering a range of different sites from Central London, London outskirts and Kent. You will play a vital part in driving the safety and health of all members of staff and play a key part of the internal and wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring and enhancing health and safety policy in association with external advisors.
* Advising directors on health and safety legislation and requirements
* Producing Construction Phase Plans and initial RAMS
* Assisting in task specific RAMS production and checking subcontractor RAMS
* Ensuring the toolbox talks is up-to-date and monitoring delivery.
* Liaising with HR manager as to ongoing training
* Compiling site files with required health and safety documents
* Giving training talks
* Site inspections and audits and monthly reports
* Assisting with SSIP compliance and tender statements
* Monitoring PAT test fire extinguisher and harness checks and inspection requirements
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have previous Health and Safety experience within the construction industry and preferably be holding a NEBOSH Construction, TechIOSH and beneficial if previously done ISO standard experience (9001).
