Fairhive is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community but we want to do more. We keep expanding our operating area delivering homes that are built to high standards and reduce environmental impact.
As a Financial Systems Accountant at Fairhive you can expect to be in a dynamic role and to be an integral member of our team, providing support to the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the business.
About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious individual with strong interpersonal skills who is able to multi-task to provide direction and support to the Finance team.
On the Job you will:·
• Lead on various financial system projects to improve processing of financial data and reporting
• Deliver system enhancements and upgrades
• Develop new reporting tools and efficient interfaces with other systems such as QL Housing System
About You
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of a variety of projects and who enjoys working with a diverse range of people. You will understand the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to colleagues and customers.
For this role you will need:
• Substantial experience of working with interfaced integrated financial systems for multiple entities.
• Working knowledge of the following systems: Infor BI, Sun, Infor Q&A, Proactis, QL, Power BI
• Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with the wider finance team and with others across the organisation.
• Experience of complex accounting/financial systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ability to work with complicated financial spreadsheets)
• Ability to produce concise information and analysis, clear and accurate to support decisions to be made by management
• Qualification in accountancy or be qualified by experience with significant experience of working in the finance department at a senior level including in depth experience of SUN accounting System, preferable within a Housing Association.
You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to communicate across all levels of the business
• Strong organisational, time management, administrative and prioritisation skills
