What you’ll do
Sitting within the Wholesale Operations team in SDS (Standard Delivery Service), this role own improvements for the Operations Processes and System Stack. The candidate will be able to identify improvements, carry out analysis to demonstrate benefit, and subsequently act as technical owner to ensure development and implementation is carried out correctly and efficiently by IT/Change Management. The role will therefore be required to act as a lead technical interface between Wholesale Operations and the IT Change teams.
1. Lead Technical Interface between Operations and IT to capture and deliver requirements, as and where appropriate. Liaise with IT, Product Management, Billing and any other Business areas to fix recurring problems, enable new product development and drive overall improvements to improve efficiency
2. Liaise with IT, Operations, Sales, Account Managers and Customers to capture requirements, as and where appropriate Drive improvement across the whole IT release cycle: Identifying improvements to existing process/systems, defining requirements (writing Change Requests) for those improvements
3. Gathering technical support information from our suppliers to support high-level design. Approving High Level Design when completed. Carrying out UAT once HLD is delivered
4. Writing Local Work Instructions/Documentation where appropriate (based on UAT output if required)
5. Ensuring any defects in released code are understood/mitigated/planned for fix and all stakeholders aware. Carrying out Post Implementation Testing where appropriate. Feed into Operational readiness Testing where appropriate
Who you are
6. Previous experience working as a Business Analyst or experience applying analytical skills to solve business problems
7. Prior experience of establishing professional working relationships with either customers, suppliers, agents or stakeholders
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
9. Experience of Voice and Data products (preferably with experience of dealing with BT Wholesale & BT Openreach products) is desirable
10. Experience of PowerBI or other Data Visualisation software is desirable
