Supported Housing Officer Required
Contract type: 6 weeks +
Hours per week: 35
Location: South Gloucester
Venn Group are looking for a Supported Housing Officer to work for a Housing Association in South Gloucester.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Establishing and maintaining trusting relationships with service users, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a co-produced planned program of support.
2. Assisting with identifying and accessing appropriate move-on accommodation.
3. Monitoring and managing rent accounts, ensuring arrears are addressed in line with organisational procedures.
4. Participating in undertaking health and safety checks and inspections.
5. Providing tenancy support.
6. Working in partnership with external agencies to facilitate the effective delivery of support.
7. Delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice to ensure service user income is maximised and financial resilience and capacity increased.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Enhanced DBS.
2. Driving Licence.
3. Experience working with complex needs.
4. Experience and understanding of the causes of homelessness and social exclusion for vulnerable parents.
5. Willingness to do lone working on occasions.
