Cabin Stores & Materials Controller
Location: Heathrow
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
Red Sky Personnel are looking for a Cabin Stores & Materials Controller to join a leading aviation services company based near London Heathrow. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong materials management experience within the aviation sector to play a crucial role in ensuring stock availability, forecasting, and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with operational teams to forecast and plan for materials, parts, and components, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
* Manage stock levels of essential items such as foams, carpet kits, seat covers, seat spare pre-load kits, and CMP UCS kits.
* Monitor daily and weekly status sheets, inventory levels, shipments, and purchase order updates.
* Adjust Min/Max levels in the Quantum Inventory System based on demand and lead times.
* Oversee inventory levels at remote bases and arrange stock transfers as needed.
* Work closely with the stores team to ensure accurate stock records and conduct regular stock checks.
* Manage and motivate a team of five, including planners and store personnel, to meet operational demands.
* Provide key reports to senior management regarding stock levels and material shortages.
* Identify and implement process improvements within the department.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in Aircraft Material Planning or a similar inventory control role.
* Familiarity with resource and material planning within an aviation environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize workload effectively.
* Experience with Quantum Inventory System and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong experience in Excel.
* Previous experience in stores, and aviation.
* Strong communication and leadership skills to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
