Salary: £51,515 - £53,633 per annum (with potential for the application of a market supplement for exceptional candidates)

We are looking for a Senior Solicitor - Regeneration and Projects to join the Legal Services Team at St Helens Council to provide commercial property legal support service across the council, involving exciting regeneration and project work.

Key duties of the Senior Solicitor - Regeneration and Projects:
As Senior Solicitor - Regeneration and Projects, you will be responsible for:
* Assisting with regeneration and project work including public/private partnership arrangements
* Commercial Property matters including high value and high-profile transactions
* Providing legal support to help ensure the successful delivery of the Council's r Levelling Up and Town Deal initiatives
You will be an integral part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support to all aspects of the Council's services, you will be a positive and highly motivated person who is confident, versatile and innovative.
Ideal requirements of the Senior Solicitor - Regeneration and Projects:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience dealing with Commercial Property matters in a Local Authority, be an excellent co-ordinator, able to handle major business projects and have well-developed communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively with officers internally, and externally with courts, barristers, and professional bodies is essential.
Local government experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from people from all parts of the legal sector as training, support and mentoring will be offered as part of your continuous professional development. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established lawyer with a good understanding of Property law to join a progressive organisation and diversify their skillset and experience. You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister with a current Practising Certificate.
