Overview:
We have partnered with a Private Equity backed Healthcare group with multiple business units across the UK&I and Europe with an ambitious M&A agenda. They are seeking an experience Group M&A Director with the ability lead an established M&A team as well be involved in deal process when required. Headquartered in the UK, the primary focus of this position is to lead UK&I M&A with broader oversight of European acquisitions.
This role is a senior leadership role within the business, reporting into the CEO and sitting on the board.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the UK&I M&A team – driving the strategy, cadence and oversight of the end-to-end M&A process
* Open new commercial opportunities by leading the origination, deal assessment and execution of opportunities. This could be acquiring further healthcare businesses, establishing management teams as well as new market adjacencies (e.g. lab, equipment, software).
* Oversee and support the M&A team in our European markets, challenging capital allocation, deal evaluation and the diligence process.
* Drive continuous improvement and share best practice between countries helping find commercial and creative solutions to agreeing deals and ensuring oversight and reporting on ROI
Experience Required:
* Strong People leader and high EQ
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience across both advisory and in-house corporate development roles
* Extensive and proven prior deal experience, at ease with £1-15m EBITDA deal.
* Prior roles with evidence of strong commercial judgment
* Ability to work in an international setup with ability to lead change through influence
* Willingness to go into the details of small deals to support local M&A teams
* Experience working in people-focused businesses. Healthcare businesses are a plus but not a prerequisite.
